Batesville High cross-country season is upon me, but summer heat has kept us inside after school for most of the first two weeks under state health and safety law. And my own morning runs have been few as general business and full life have occupied me and many of my running buddies.
Tomorrow morning (Saturday, Aug 29) , though, I will be at the main BHS parking lot at 7 am to run the campus woodland and nearby park trails. All are welcome to join at any pace and pick your distance on loops – no one is lost or left alone as the pack flexes and reforms.
I am about to be extremely busy: The Pioneers first race is Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Melbourne High and then every Tuesday through October (click for Pioneer fan pages), and my OKTP timing calendar likewise is solid Saturdays into November starting Sept. 12. I also will be timing a couple of high school meets and a few college meets this fall. Click the calendar tab and check for races in places or for causes dear to your heart and get your run on!
